Yvan does not pretend to be Freddie. Instead, he honors the songs with a voice uniquely his own, a timbre that carries the emotional fire, the operatic sweep, and the rock-and-roll energy that made Queen’s music unforgettable.

Discovered by the general public when all four chairs turned during his appearance on The Voice Canada, Yvan had already been recognized years earlier by rock legends Brian May and Roger Taylor, who personally selected him at the age of 25 to play the lead role of Galileo in the Canadian production of We Will Rock You. The smash-hit musical ran nearly 800 performances for more than 1 million spectators, and Yvan has carried the torch for this music ever since.

In addition to We Will Rock You, Yvan has starred in notable productions such as RENT, Rock of Ages, and Notre-Dame-de-Paris. He released his debut album in 2017 with renowned collaborators and later created the Canadian touring hit Rhapsody – The Classics of Queen, which quickly grew in popularity across the country.

Now, Queen – A Royal Tribute brings Yvan’s extraordinary voice to America, supported by some of the finest musicians in the United States. Together, they recreate Queen’s music the way you remember it—faithfully, passionately, and with the full majesty that this classic rock repertoire deserves.
